Maya J’an is an LA-based artist, songwriter, and producer signed to Warner Records by Aaron Bay-Schuck and to Warner Chappell Music by Ryan Press.
She kicked off 2026 with her debut single “cul-de-sac,” earning support on Pop Rising, landing the cover of New Alt Pop, and receiving New Music Friday placements across multiple territories. With two additional singles scheduled for release this spring, the rollout culminates in her debut EP arriving in May 2026.
As a songwriter, Maya co-wrote the highly viral, chart-topping, Juno Award–winning R&B Song of the Year and gold-certified single “Bloom” with Aqyila. She has upcoming releases with Aqyila, Josh Beauchamp, Adanna Duru, Ylona Garcia, AP Dhillon, Sean Paul, and more, and has collaborated with writers and producers including Justin Tranter, Tay Keith, and Nate Ferraro. Maya have both a great ear for catchy melodies and a strong sense for great concepts and never wants to leave the room without finding that clever lyric.
As a producer, Maya focuses on vocal- and choir-driven production, while also creating full tracks for sync across fashion and editorial brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Vogue. Her fully self-produced, written, and performed song “Selenas” was featured in the soundtrack of the Academy Award–winning film Promising Young Woman.
